When is the right time? 

Retiring after a long career is rarely just a career move; it is a major life transition.

Indeed Australia workplace psychologist Amanda Gordon told The Senior while people often feel initial excitement when contemplating retirement, a period of grieving can follow.

“It’s interesting that it might be later that there is a certain grieving,” Gordon said.
